Getting into a routine...and more traveling

After the long day that consisted of visiting 3 locations in Tuscany, Sunday was my rest day. 3 of my roommates and I took the day to stop at a coffee shop and eat some nutella crepes! We walked across the river, to visit a rose garden and we enjoyed some time in the sun while reading our books.

The rest of the day we found a cute spot overlooking the water with food trucks and we played cards for hours. It was so perfect and simple. We got pretty hungry so we went to a new restaurant and had dinner.

Monday was also simple. Coffee shop in the morning to complete homework and class in the evening. I have really been enjoying my oil painting class, I have learned a lot of new skills with this medium and it has been fun to revive my love for art!

Tuesday was the first day that I had to take a quiz in class. It was for my photography class and surprisingly it was kind of difficult. Probably doesn't help that I am not studying too much due to my busy schedule. After class ended, I spent some time walking to a local park to read some more of my book.

Wednesday included my painting class and a free food crawl around Florence. A couple of my roommates and I went to the food crawl and we stopped at 3 different restaurants. The 1st place was for appetizers, the 2nd place for dinner, and the 3rd place for gelato.

Thursday I had my early morning photography class and then later that night I had a fun dinner and hang out. We ate out at a restaurant and got cheesecake as dessert! We wanted to recreate our night from Sunday so we went back to the food trucks to play cards and found this adorable spot where they were line dancing on this huge outdoor dance floor. We stayed for a couple hours and it was just filled with so much fun!

Friday included an early morning rise to race down to the train station because we were going to the beach! It was a 1 hour ride there, and sadly once we got there it was super cloudy. Of course the 1st day that it isn't 90+ degrees and sunny in Florence is the day that we travel to the beach. While we were there, it started raining! We stuck it out because our train home wasn't for another couple hours, so we all took naps on the sun chairs that the workers set out for us. When we woke, it was 2 hours later and the sun was out and shining on us! Turned out to be a pretty nice day with an amazing sunset over the ocean.
